My 11 year old daughter has hardly taken them off since she got them. She’s been “breaking them in” for summer camp. They seem sturdy & supportive. She likes that they come up high enough to support her ankles & she anticipates they’ll be great for hiking at camp without worrying about hurting herself.
Also, the sizing guide chart & deception of how to measure accurately was helpful & proved true for these shoes.

Ok for the price

First off, this is not preschool sizes, but kids sizes. Second, they run big so size down. Third, they have a funny shape at the front, sort of turned upward, but maybe it's just because they were too big for me. Fourth, they're uncomfortable on the back of my ankles and my heels (feels like it sinks). I fixed these with heel inserts. and lastly, for the price and purpose I bought them, they're ok.

Run Large From Previous Design 10/23

I am a woman who has small feet and thus wears kids shoes. My job is doing deliveries in rural areas in the PNW and I love my Keens, this will be the 3rd iteration of the Targhee I've had in many years as my tried-and-true sole pair of workboots. I'll be returning these immediately as I ordered the same size I have ordered, and which and has fit *perfectly* the last 2 times over several years - a Big Kids size 3 - and these are almost exactly a half a size too long. Very disappointing as the wonderful fit was one of the things I loved most about these.

Purchased for my mum who has size 4.5 feet (w), or size 3 boys.
Children's shoes aren't always manufactured with the best materials, let alone to last longer than one season, the quality surpassed my expectation. I've been wearing my Keen's on the trail for a couple years now, with little to no degradation in the waterproofing or sole. This pair will likely last the same amount of time for her.
We're also a fan of the typical Keen color pallet of earthy neutrals - very stylish.

Too hard

We got this pair to replace an old Keen pair that my daughter loves, but it is hard to put on, too tight on the ankle, the material isn’t flexible and when she bends her feet the actual shoe bends and squishes/hurts her toes. I wouldn’t buy them again
