Nice soft, warm pants but the fit is a little odd. I have worn the same size pants for years, even those from Marks. However, these feel tight across the rear, and my rear hasn't changed!! It's almost as if the front of the pants were cut to a medium size and the back cut for small. Even compared with other pants from Marks, they seem skimpy across the back.

I ordered up to an XL as one reviewer said they shrunk. They did not. Fortunately I only wanted them to wear at home. I'm a senior without much of a waist so that's the only place that fits. Everywhere else is loose. They're very soft and appear to be very warm. They are quite a thick fleece so you're only likely to be able to wear them under loose rain or ski pants.

Warm but not great fit

These pants are warm. However. There’s no elastic in the waist band. I find I’m constantly pulling them up. I’m smaller in the waist then my bottom half and the waist is not tight enough. They look like slim fit leggings in the picture but they are a bit bulkier

I thought they were lined on the inside with thermal but the whole pair is fleece and did not fit well at all.

LOVE these pants! I have been in search of something to provide warmth! I started with some of the "best" base layers and some cheaper ones. (Icebreaker 260, arcteryx phase ar and many others). These are much warmer and the fit and feel is superior. (higher waist, super soft and cozy) The grid performs really well under a shell layer for high output activities and is comfortable to sleep in.... Do they have the benefits of merino? Doesn't matter as theres few times I would be relying on them staying fresh smelling for extended periods of time. In order for their wicking properties to be of use, you probably have to be warm enough to work up some sort of sweat which i never was. These are just all around comfortable and provided much more warmth, the seams lay really nice and fit under other pants as well! Its too bad there isn't much for sizing information online. I am typically a small and they fit a little bigger but they are perfect. **I have yet to wash them so im not sure if they will shrink. I ordered some of the thick fleece pants and they are comfortable and would be warmer but probably not perform as well for active pursuits
