Lovely pair of winter booths, Timberland is renowed for its quality. They are slightly over priced however if you are looking for a good quality of footwear to last you years, then this is it for you. I give it 4 stars as my only problem is that the toe areas are not fleeced lined. With -30 weather you need to wear extra thick socks!

Upon removing these boots from its box, my thoughts were, they're cute, light weight and seem warm and cozy. With a pair of socks, not too thick, I was able to get them on with no problems. The inside is soft and plushy. The boot length is good and my toes are not pushing against the tip of the boot. But the boot width is too tight or narrow around my foot. I wondered if they would eventually break in a little. And then as I tried to tie them, I noticed the ankle portion of the boot does not close because the upper ankle circumference of the boot is too small. I have always worn timberland boots and have been wearing them for many years with no problems. The boots seem to be getting smaller and more narrow or my foot anatomy has been changing over time. I think Timberland makes good quality boots. I also think Timberland does a disservice to customers because they don't make a lot of their boots in wide widths and wide calf sizes, especially for women who may need that extra room. I wonder how many customers they could have gained or kept if these type of boots were added to their boot line up. For reference, I am a size 8 and ordered an 8.5 for extra room and to accommodate a thicker sock. My foot would be swimming in a size 9. I'm a little down about it and will have to return these and find another company who makes a good quality winter/snow boot. I may have to give up on timberland all together until possibly they start adding wide width and wide calf sizes to women's boots. I will try another Timberland style and hope for the best outcome.
