Great… until not.

These boots are cute, but unfortunately don’t last. I’ve had 3 pairs and won’t buy again. After a year or two the toe wears down near sole and your feet get wet/no longer waterproof. I repurchased after the first time because the style changed a bit (wider/thicker sole), but the same thing happened. My mom has a pair too that still worked well so she gave them to me, and now they are also leaking water into toes. Sad because they are cute and functional until they are not. I have duct taped the toe of my current pair until I find something to replace them with.

Cute and comfortable

This shoe is very comfortable and will be my go to this fall and winter for running errands. They’re not insulated so I went up a half a size to accommodate wool socks. They’re perfect

Painful and heavy

I’ve had Soral rain boots in the past, but so far after wearing these two times (several miles each time), I just can’t get past the pain. Sizing wise they fit perfectly, enough room in toe box and length, but something in the left boot rubs so badly that I am left limping after wearing these (thus only two uses.) I will try a pair of thicker socks and see if that helps. Honestly it’s a little weird, I’ve never had an issue like this before where one shoe was causing so much pain. I did purchase these for a trip where I’ll be in heavy rain (based on other reviews doesn’t seem like they are super waterproof) and walking a ton so at least I know now these aren’t worth the weight in my luggage.

Disappointed, didn't hold up well

These boots did not hold up well. The toe seam at the sole came unsealed letting water into the shoe. I superglued it closed. But then the black rubber toes started splitting. The laces got a lot of runs in them. Also the inner seams of the tongue were very bulky and didn't lay flat at all. I was really disappointed in the quality of this shoe. I've purchased many pairs of Sorels over the years, these were really not up to standards. Spent way too much money on such low quality.

Pros & Cons

There are pros and cons to the boots. I got them in December as a Christmas gift. I love the styling and versatility of the boot. They are also some of the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn. Excellent for walking on concrete for long hours. As for the cons, one of the shoes developed a squeak a month ago that I can’t get rid of. I hear it while walking on every smooth surface, so that is getting to me. Also, they are not waterproof for prolonged exposure. I was pressure washing recently and my boots, socks, and feet were completely saturated. The water was sloshing inside the boot. Kind of disappointed about that, but in everyday situations like rainy weather, they keep your feet dry and warm. Super cute boot.

Not practical but cute.

Because this is a Sorel I thought it would keep my feet warm. I was very wrong! These boots would be for a spring or summer rain. Not slush or cold rain! My feet were cold all day. I gave 2 stars because they are cute.
