Great overall boot I have been buying the sentry's for years and love them. They are a little more stiff than usual but fit great and are light weight.

Terrible boots fell apart in no time had another model of terra boots before and they where some of the best boots ive had but these are definitely not the same quality

I really enjoy this boot. I wear them almost every day for work, recreation, and running errands. I also wear them for hiking and they are still comfortable after a 45km day. They're also durable and I can usually get two full years of hard service before the leather lets go at the bottom of the laces on the inside behind the steel toe. Again, excellent boot.

Leather good quality comfortable would buy again but would proably buy 6" not 8"

I was very impressed with these boots from a fit, ankle height, leather quality, etc. After all conditions there has been no slop or delamination. Sole is fantastic. But the back strap rubbed through from the heel inside and come to discover this gimmick is not fastened on leather, but actually bridges the leather pieces. What a failure. The other boot is showing the same rub through as well. This boot was very promising, but that 'tektuff' backstrap destroys it. Plus whatever material is inside broke as well. I thought this was an addition to the leather, but instead it is I suppose some cost saving measure. Back to some other brand...

While customer service and product availability at Mark's still sucks, these boots are so far among the best I've worn. I am a farmer, and typically go through a boot in under 2 years. My last two pairs were JB Goodhue Nitros, (the better quality version to what is sold at Marks) and Royer Arrow X-spans. The JB Goodhues have issues on sloppy fit, and lasted OK but leaked terribly. The Royers were sloppy after extended wear, and the leather was too soft and cut up easily. The Terra Sentry 2020 is so far after 6 months of use under farm conditions outstanding. Stiff fit for ankle support, far more protection from falling items and other hazards, thicker stronger leather, completely water resistant and warm. Moreover, the ankle height is a true 8 inches or a bit more - I haven't worn this kind of boot height since the 90's and kudos to Terra for not trying to take cost out by cheating height. This provides far better ankle support and protection, especially when climbing over equipment. This was probably the most disappointing feature on several Royer boots I tried - despite the pictures, their boots are well below the advertised 8 inches. The traction is superior, and the toe cap is practical and doesn't overwhelm the boot like other brands where half of your foot is encased in rubber. Lastly, the fit is the best I've had. After work in, they are still firm and I can lace up without the shaft stretching closed over the tongue. I don't know if the back strap does anything other than aesthetics, but I am very pleased with these boots - the very best after dozens of pairs from Dakotas to Royers. I will definitely repurchase, even if they do start failing in the next year. The fit and comfort alone are worth it.
