[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazing boots, love the design. The boa laces are easy and convenient. Perfect height. Not heavy. Only con is that they are not very breathable and get hot, sweaty, and stinky faster. I'd rather them not be so waterproof so they can be more breathable.

This boot is solid. The boa system is good I have had my boots for almost a year now with no problems. They are so comfortable after the workweek is up I wear them for motorcycle boots as well. I am thinking about getting another pair to keep clean and will probably get another pair after I wear the sole out on the pair I have. I usually wear 11.5 but this boot runs big I got an 11 and still have room in the toe.

As an IBEW electrician for 28 years I've tried many boots. These are easy on/off and the BOA system works flawlessly. Walking all day, ladders, lifts and uneven terrain they stay very comfortable. Most of my other boots get dinged up in the toe area so the rubber protection does its job. The only gripe I have is the weight. It is on the heavy side.

I bought these thinking they would be lighter than my grisport steel toes which are considerably heavy. One boot is almost the equivalent weight as my old pair of boots. I don't even want to put these on my feet as they are so heavy. Whoever the product tester is they need to be reprimanded because this is an absolute spit in the face to any blue collar worker.

I was excited to try a work boot with the BOA system, but sadly I don't think it is really compatible or is simply not well integrated for this boot. After about two weeks of use, I find that the BOA lacing can get extremely tight, but this fit only seems to happen on the top part of the boot. With laces, it is extremely easy to make the bottom part of the lacing (top of the foot) tight, and then slack a bit the upper part of the boot for a comfortable walking fit. But this is not possible with the BOA knob as it first tightens above the ankle. I've found this makes my feet feel very floaty in what is (in my opinion) a heavy boot, and constrains the ankle when trying to make it tighter. The tension of the cable also doesn't seem to spread out much as you use it. Additionally, the BOA knob sits on top of a leather patch on the tongue. This patch has "winglets" which when you crouch, gets stuck on the outside part of the boot and catches the tongue, which constantly make it stick out and really makes for an uneven feeling between your shin and the boot. Seems like a huge oversight for the design because the tongue is constantly getting stuck. The BOA used is also not the kind which can be stepped backwards to remove tension. It becomes tedious to get a similar feeling for each boot since to remove tension you have to "pop" it and retention the lacing every. time. It's a shame because I don't doubt this system would be more durable than laces (of which I go through very regularly) and the boot feels quite well built. But only time will tell for that.

First time using the boa lacing system and I love it! super comfortable boots, lightweight, good quality.
