Grip ice/crust well, light, comfortable and warm

I measure Men's size 11 regular for winter boots. Ordered tht size and they fit very well wearing a heavy wollen sock. Yesterday (-20 C) I tried them out. They grip very well in ice/crust, are warm, comfortable, and my jeans fall nicely over the tops. Today I tried them wearing a long white sport sock. Found a bit of foot movement, and certainly not as warm.
I have a pair of WindRiver Men's Yukon 2.0 ICEFX® Winter Boots from 2 years ago, and they are very good on ice, warm, comfy, but are highter, heavier, with a larger tread and meant for really snowy days, so wanted something lighter/lower and am quite happy with my purchase.

This item was purchased prior to the recent terrible winter weather and has lived up to its high rating. It has a taller height and perfect fit (an ideal interior length & width) and NON-SLIP tread...a winter walker must!

Best ice traction I have found

Ordered these on line, had them about a month now and love them. With all the warm weather the trails have become uneven and very slippery. These boots are warm, great on ice and the support to protect me from turning my ankle.

Excellent on Ice and Warm

Saw these on a Marketplace program as the best boot for ice ... and they are right. I am a size 13 ... they fit perfectly and feel very safe and warm ... glad I bought them.

Not what they are made out to be

Picked up a pair of these before Christmas.
My initial impression was that they were good.
But after about 1 month of use, the ICEFX no longer works. You can see that there are some crystal like chips embedded in certain areas of the tread. When I first got the boots, these crystals were sharp and did grip the ice. Now they are totally rounded off and do absolutely nothing. Perhaps they need to be a harder substance.
Another thing to think about is you probably do not want to walk on the floors in your house with these, there is a good chance they will scratch them up.
For me I never wore them anywhere but outside.
I would have to say that ICEFX is a marketing gimmick.
As for the rest of the boots, they are good.
Can't say anything for the waterproofness.
They are made of some artificial material, not leather.
They seem to be warm when outside, but temperatures have not gone below -20C. The boots are rated to -30C to -40C.

Comfortable but don’t be fooled by the anti-slip.

These are COMFY. They do keep your feet warm; I’ve worn them down to about -18C so far, and so far so good. I wish they were a little taller, but it is what it is. The lack of height probably is what helps make them so comfortable to walk in.
However, like all of these “non-slip” soles that consist of some shards of some stuff, the ones on this boot are just as useless as every other manufacturer that has that stuff. If it’s slippery out, get your cleats on. These will not stop you from slipping on ice.

Boots are very comfortable and warm. i was walking on snow and bits of ice- boots provide safe feeling.
