Rated 5 de 5 de par Another great Hi-Tec shoe I have been wearing Hi-Tek shoes for over 30 years, and they never disappoint. These felt very comfortable immediately and I was ready to hike. They are very light, which is great for hiking as well as air travel, as we travel the world with just carry on. The one thing to be aware of with Hi-Tec is the fit seems to change by shoe model. I will wear size 11 in one shoe, and size 10 in another.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Very Comfortable Wanted a waterproof shoe that I could wear instead of boots in the snow. These shoes or hikers are comfortable and pretty warm. Great traction in the snow and pretty good on the ice too.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Very Comfortable - No break-in period! These are the first hiking shoes I have put on straight out of the box and was ready to go for a hike - they fit like someone else already broke them in for me. Real good support and aggressive tread which is great for snowy and icey conditions.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Many good features HI TEC BANDERAS 11 LOW CUT HIKING SHOE First walk of about 5k today on dry sidewalks. I felt some discomfort on the top of each foot from the tight laces. There was also minor discomfort as the right outside ankle was being rubbed by the shoe upper, even though it seems well padded. The shoes give firm landing and support with no “squishiness”. The laces are not extra long as in some shoes so I was able to tie them with a single bow, and both remained tied for the duration. Non of this is intended as negative, but simply what is occuring in the breaking in process. I will add to this report after about 100k. About 200 Kilometers walked now. The shoes are holding up well, they are indeed waterproof as claimed having walked in wet snow, heavy rain, and dry snow with no wet feet. They are no better on black or glare ice than any other shoe so be careful. I wish I could say I find them comfortable but I do not. Pretty sure my hard to fit feet are at least part of the problem, but I still find the right outside ankle being rubbed although I have partially solved that by some padding. In total however, they do give the support needed, they are standing up to distance walking, and they are waterproof

Rated 4 de 5 de par Comfortable, warm, and waterproof, and grippy!! Wasn't quite sure about quality of these, as the price was on par with similarly hikers I had that didn't survive very long, but was pleasantly surprised! As advertised, these are definitely waterproof (for walking through damp/wet grass and even puddles), and comfortable from the get-go--only a few hours needed to break 'em in. The tread is exceptionally grippy, especially with the various areas and different materials (a little slippery sideways, but great forwards/backwards). Caution: there is no ankle support, so not meant for rough & rocky terrain, and the stock laces do come undone if not using a secure knot. In the end, they are great, and even better considering the price--almost like they are on sale at the regular price.
