Rated 1 de 5 de par Poor quality Purchased in late October 2019, felt very unsafe working in them. (Now 4 months of light use, slow time of year) (continue to use, because of the price invested) The retractable cleat feature broke,in the first three days of use. (cleats used only one time) The upper lace tie hooks, catch in the pull on assist tab, at the back of boot, almost causing me to fall from a 40 foot extension ladder, and on another occasion, almost caused me to tumble off a five story building, (thankful when I stumbled, I did not go over the side, ( although wearing a harness, it would really hurt) The souls are so soft, creating gaping holes, where the cleats used to be, filling with snow,/ and ice making ice bumps, making the boots really awkward to walk on, (and super slippery). This is the first time I’ve had a problem with Marks work warehouse Products. Great company, just this particular work boot is not. Will continue to shop at Makes

Rated 1 de 5 de par Extremly poor quality on traction on demand line Yukon , Mine Expediting is my job, comfort, durability, warmth and traction are a must. Purchased on 11/24/19 Excellent idea. Is all I can say for them... this pair is already an exchange pair from the 8inch leather upper pair of boots also from the traction on demand line (one cleat stopped coming out and another on the same boot got stuck out after 1 week of use). This pair lasted me till today when they just both suddenly split while I was out chaining up my truck today, halfway through my trip ... feet were soaked and frozen by the end of my day... will be exchanging these for another pair of boots of a different brand tomorrow once the local Mark's opens up... both pairs of boots from the traction on demand line had a very painful pinch in the front of the ankle that would not go away no matter how I adjusted the boots and laces, that did start going away after a week of wearing in the boots but nobody should have to stop driving because thier boots are hurting thier feet enough to distract them...

Rated 5 de 5 de par Gets the Job done in Ontario I work for a demolition company here in Ontario moving all the big equipment around the province. I encounter every type of weather possible sometimes all on the same day and these boots definitely keep my feet firmly on the ground. I've not slipped once since wearing these boots and that includes when I'm walking on the steel deck of my trailer. These boots really bite in. They are a must for those working in icy and snowy areas. One thing I truly appreciate is that my feet stay warm even if they are a little damp from being in the boots a good part of the day. I really really hate cold feet, you know the cold that makes your feet hurt for hours after the end of the day. My only concern is for how long the studs in the boots will last and I'm not sure if they can be swapped out.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Great concept, but the quality is very poor I've been through 2 sets of these boots within 1 months time. While working up in Sask. in -30 before windchill, these boots kept my feet relatively warm and comfortable. Unfortunately, on the first pair I had purchased, the right heal started tearing and coming apart from the boot. On the second pair, the same issue with the heal happened on the left boot. Also, one of the spikes broke off one boot and on multiple occasions, the spikes were either extremely difficult to retract/extend, or they just wouldn't retract/extend at all without feeling like I was going to brake the system while doing so. This was my first and will be my last time trying a Dakota boot

Rated 1 de 5 de par Painful My last review I wrote didn't get published which was much more in detail.. so I don't waste my time writing out my issues again I'll make it short and sweet. The boots are to tight at the ankles so if you're kneeling or on an unlevel surface a lot like a roof they dig into your ankles. I've never had a boot before these ones that when I take them off my ankles are red and skin starting to open up. Which is even worse when my left leg I broke so I have a scar and a dent in my leg where I broke it and it got to the point where my incision was starting to open up. An incision that's been healed for 5 years. I wouldn't suggest buying these.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Excellent traction, warm boot, great idea..but... Bought the boots 12NOV19 - just today the spikes failed after 10 days of wear. Visible stress fractures on handle - feels very fragile. Another guy on the site had same problems - his lasted only 5 days. Great concept, warm and comfortable, best traction ever - works well when the spikes are extended, but the mechanism and winding handle are just too fragile - more R&D needed!
